Background

Food producers are understandably under constant pressure to live up to certain brand, retailer and consumer expectations.
These demands for how foods are produced, or the ingredients used, can be rooted in many different contexts, from religion and culture to health or even ethical principles.
This means that food producers are obliged to give consumers the full assurance that the foods they consume – and the ingredients used to produce them – are halal or kosher certified, free of certain allergens, or made with ethically and/or responsibly sourced raw ingredients, such as palm-free.

Customer pain
Food manufacturers’ concerns are not limited to being able to produce foods that meet these varying needs.
They must document and prove that they live up to these specific religious (such as halal or kosher), environmental and ethical (such as GMO, origin palm or non-animal) and health (such as allergen or PHO) demands.

Objection handling
OBJECTION 1
“All certifications sounds too easy and convenient. Surely not all products have full certfications.”
SUGGESTED ANSWER
Not all our products have all certifications. That’s simply not possible. But we have full certification for the approved usage of each of our products. And if you have specific demands for additional certification or certain retailer criteria to live up to, we would be happy to look into that.
Objection handling
OBJECTION 2
“How do you address potential supply chain issues, such as contamination from third-party suppliers?"
SUGGESTED ANSWER
We would be happy to work together with you to see how your products can live up to niche ethical requirements. We have vast experience developing and reformulating recipes with customers, and have a library of 2000 recipes to draw on and be inspired by.
Objection handling
OBJECTION 3
“Everybody offers certified products; you are doing the same”
SUGGESTED ANSWER
It is true in our business that all suppliers are highly professional. But Palsgaard offers the widest range of solutions – most of them kosher and halal. And on the top of that, a lot of non-palm solutions. Additionally, most our solutions are suitable for vegan consumption. So we offer very versatile options to help produce the best finish product.
